Finally got one! ( for Harry and Ed)

New co2 and zeroed scope worked! Saw this guy out about 20 yards and grabbed the 850, couldn't see a good head shot so I  went for the chest and let the CPHP go, he jumped and flipped and laid out nice! (Cold too abut 18 f )

That's the way to do it  :)  !!  .177 or .22 ?

Nice shooting and a great pic.  I'm sure they'll be more dead nutters to come  :)

22 Jeff, first tree rat of the year, cold and snow early in the month then they were around again but I was missing shots. That was # 28 for  the 850, 2 last fall with the RS3 and 4 with the Viper express

Good shooting with your 850.  At only 20 yards the .22 really smacked him hard.

Nice shooting Dave and congrats on your 1st squirrel of 2010!!  

They don't stand a chance at 20yds but I try not to shoot them over 25yds with the 850 .22.  I do not get an exit wound if the range is > 22-23yds (w/head shots), and once or twice I had to do a follow up shot.  But come to think of it, I have the stronger spring now shooting 35fps more or about 1.5fpe more, so I may try some longer shots.  Thing is I don't have any squirrels left so the 850 is on feather duty :)
