I've been aching to shoot my CFX all week. It's been raining here a lot in the west coast and I get home after dark, so I haven't been able to shoot her. Anyways, I got up today, about 7:50AM and I had to be somewhere at 8:20. I figure, I can probably shoot a few shots before I leave. I got up and grabbed my CFX and a hand full of JSB Exacts (didn't wash up or anything, just woke up, put on a jacket and walked out). It's chilly today, there's frost everywhere. I look over to our pile of firewood, where a ground squirrel has been living. I saw, what looks to be a head sticking up; I was still half asleep and couldn't really tell since it blended so well with the wood. I looked through my scope, and sure enough, it's that pest. It was about 35 yards out and looking right at me, so I put the cross hair right on its head and sent the Express on its way. I hear a thump, and then I see the tail wagging in the air. It was hit and it was doing the death dance.
The shot was little low. Entry point was right under the jaw and exit point was right in the middle of the back.
I wanted to take some pictures, but I had to get going.
