Why Coakley lost
« on: January 24, 2010, 04:24:01 AM »
Martha Coakley lost because Obama is too liberal.

He's too liberal because he escalated the war in Afghanistan.

He's too liberal because single payer health care was never even on the table.

He's too liberal because he appointed a bunch of Wall Street cronies to head his economic team.

He's too liberal because he continued Bush's policy of giving billions of dollars in low interest loans to the fat cats on Wall Street with no stipulations, and the fat cats took that money and gave themselves billions of dollars in bonuses.

He's too liberal because the most liberal members of the Senate (Bernie Sanders, Russ Feingold, and Barbara Boxer) have said that they will vote against the upcoming confirmation of Tim Geithner.

He's too liberal because he kept  Bush's Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates.

No, Coakley didn't lose because she went on vacation three weeks before election day, or because doesn't know who Curt Schilling is (there are no baseball fans in Massachusetts), or because she has as much charisma as a bowl of oatmeal, or because she said it would be a waste of time to stand in front of Fenway Park in the cold to shake people's hands.

No no, Coakley lost because Obama is too liberal. And I'm sure that if it was Ted Kennedy on the  ballot, instead of Martha Coakley, he would have lost too, because ... well, you know.

Here's a thought for you, - the deep thinkers are going to send you folks a message of Biblical proportions in the mid-terms.

Jerry, - not to hurt your "feelings",  but your views aren't really of any interest to me, - just killin' some time. If you "really" think BO is too conservative, - fine, knock yourself out, go for it!!! - Maybe Chavez will sneak across the border, and "local lefties" will have a NEW hero.

I doubt that the views of anyone whose views aren't exactly the same as yours are of interest to you. I also doubt that you can disprove my point. Instead of redbaiting, why not give your own insight to the topic at hand. Obviously you must find the issue I've raised to be of some interest, otherwise you wouldn't have given any response, all be it an adolescent one. By the way, I know this is somewhat off the topic (or is it?), but do you think Stephen Colbert is a conservative?

"Instead of re-baiting"  ... which is what you're all about - I simply returned the favor. Adios Jerry my friend, ... have a good life.

You don't know what redbaiting means. That's funny. Oh well, at least Stephen Colbert is on your side.

I love the analysis I am hearing from all of you folks on the left.  Keep it up!  You are certainly right about Obama!  Unless he takes a hard turn left, the Dems could be in real trouble at the mid-terms.  Kind of like Butch Cassiday and the Sundance Kid at the end of the movie.  And thanks, grackledown -- I always enjoy a good chuckle.

PS:  How about that Superme Court decision last week! :)

PPS:  I do know about Red Baiting and revisionist history, having read Richard Rhodes "Dark Sun", Whitaker Chambers "Witness", and "The Vernona Secrets"  Joe McCarthy was right, by the way, about Alger Hiss and a bunch of other Communists in the American Government.  Now, they just call themselves "Progressives", but they still worship Saul Alinski and FDR.

Neener, neeeener neeeeener!

Where are you hearing analysis from folks on the left? Fixed News? Also, how could Obama possibly be any further to the left? He's a Communist Nazi Arab Muslum Christian African. As for the Supreme Court decision... you want your plutocracy, congratulations.
PS: Please explain to North Pack what "plutocracy"  means.
