jorge,
I'm in Tallahassee, FL now for the last 10 yrs (wouldn't recommend it).  I grew up in MA, lived in NH for a while, and a bit in Maine.  Although MA is it's own special breed of state, I would definately recommend either NH or VT (great Laws)!  Not too much experiance with Maine, but have spent enough time there to love it as well.  Pretty sure the laws are pretty tame (especially if you get away from the cities)..  All are beautiful and fun with plenty of outdoors to enjoy :)

JORGE as you know I am in Puerto Rico island. Here for leaving is relax and a lot things to do if you liked water sports, movies, theaters, dancing, pubs and discoteques. The economy is a little tight for people with no good education, but still is an excellent place for leaving without to be bored. We have of everything here and close, no long distance to travel.  If you love nature combine with a little with the city, this is Puerto Rico.... As Scuba diver, kite surfer, kite mountaing boarding expert,  I can share these other hobbys with anyone that comes to Puerto Rico.

THE MOST IMPORTANT: NO VERY LOW TEMPERATURES just fresh one at the mountains 50 degree F.

Today it is raining but I can go do some scuba dive with just a simple shorty 3 mm wet suit.

Jorge, all those places are too close to the north pole. You may have reasons.

Texas has been my home for over 30 years. People willing to work hard can get jobs here. You have to be able to adapt to summer heat and afford air conditioning.
The economy has worsened, but it is not extremely bad. Houston and Dallas have better economies than most of the state.

I miss Texas. Was stationed there for a few years. Washington has a lot of beautiful places to see. Of course its always raining so that takes a lot of fun out. When its not raining, EVERYBODY is out seeing what your seeing! Too many laws for tree huggers. I dont want to destroy the enviornment, but iI would like a little more freedom to enjoy it.
