Did I Screw up my CFX royal. I moved the scope rail as

far back as I could which involved removing the screw that held it in place and moved it all the way to the rear of the receiver and tighted the screws which hold it in place on the receiver.  The reason I did it is the scope that I have is the Leapers bugbuster 6x32 AO.  The rail in the stock position seemed to be too far forward. Or do I just need to get another scope?  If so what is a good scope for hunter field target under $75 or so dollars.

I just got it a few weeks ago from PA and luckily it had the metal trigger, just replaced it with the GTR trigger, what a difference!   Thanks for any input you may have.  This is my first post here.

Currently I have a Gamo CFX Royal, a QB 36-1, Daisy 953 and Crosman 1377.   I was really hoping to use the CFX for some field target.

I don't see how you could've "screwed up" your CFX.... you can always just put it back the way it was right ??  

As for a scope PA has a good assortment of scopes, you should be able to find one you like.  One of my favorite scopes is the Leapers 3x9x32 AO that optics planet sells for around $50 bucks w/ free shipping.  My rifles are used only for hunting and I don't do field target so perhaps the 3x9x32 is not suited for your needs but just thought I'd throw it out there for your consideration as it falls within the price range you quoted.  

BTW..... PA sells a scope mount that might solve your problem if you want to keep using that bug buster.......

I'm sure other members will chime in with their suggestions.
