Paralax question....
« on: January 27, 2010, 02:39:06 PM »
My new scope has a paralax adjusment at the front. With air guns should it be set between 20 -40 yards since thats the primary distance I shoot?? What if I try to shoot further but dont know the exact yardageand leave it where its at, will the shot be way off say at 60 yards?

red, with the AO scopes you should't really go with the marks the factory put on the AO ring. They are too often innacurate. You simply adjust the AO ring to get the best focus on your target. And yes, if your scope is set in between 20 and 40 yards your 60 yard shot might have paralax error, you also have to compensate for pellet drop.
