Gamo Nitro Help.
« on: January 28, 2010, 11:17:13 AM »
I have a Gamo Nitro and need help as to removing the stock. I can get the rear screw out but have not figured out how to get the stock off the front action. There are two side covers seem to be rubber, one on each side. I have managed to peel one back far enough to see what appear to be plugs stuck in the stock ( hope this is making sense ) I don't want to ruin anything and I'm not sure if I should keep forcing these covers off. I take it they cover another screw that holds the action on. Are they just a press fit? or is there another way to get them or the stock off??? :0
Thanks for any help.

Welcome to GTA Walt,,, nice to have you with us.....

I can't help you with your question as I don't own a Nitro and haven't had the chance to shoot one, but I'm sure one of the other members will chime in and give you the answer in no time flat  :)

I'll be looking forward to your future posts and if you hunt with that shooter be sure to post the stories and pics in the "Hunting Gate",,,, we just love hunting stories and pics....

Again, WELCOME  :)

Welcome to the GTA FAMILY Walt now as for your Nitro it may be set up like the CFX stock's as far as the covers go. There are two tab's at each end of the cover on the inside that hold it on. Gently pry the cover off to expose the screw that secures the action to the stock, probably a TORX head screw. Ed

Thanks a bunch! I checked pictures online and the stocks are identical as far as the front is concerned. Now that I know how to get it off I can get the GRT-III trigger ordered.
