Had a great time at Timmy’s again
« on: January 31, 2010, 02:50:25 AM »
Even though Gene was not quite over the “bug” he had.  :0

Didn’t get any shooting in but did learn a lot about his stock making and the duplicator. I even got to play with it just a little.  I gotta tell ya…. It a great tool but it’s no where as simple as you might think it is. Hours of work even after it comes off the duplicator. It was great learning visit. :)

I finally got the stocks for both the Marauder and Disco and well worth the wait. They are just great pieces of work and something to be proud of for sure. Something that I will treasure to the end. Thank you Timmy. You are an artist and craftsman.

Haven’t got any pictures of it yet but might take them today. I’d like to take them outside today if the ice clears off the picnic table. I was all day yesterday clearing up e-mails and orders and didn't get the time to get on and post.

We did leave a day earlier  :0  (actually Friday night instead of Saturday morning) than we expected because of the coming storm and was a wise decision. We seldom get really bad weather here and people just aren’t used to it. A lot of ice in the upstate area and if we would have waited just a few hours longer, we could have been in a big mess. It never got above freezing yesterday so it’s still icy here but might melt off today although the roads for the most part are now clear.    8)

Anyhow, I’ll see about getting some pic’s of Timmy’s great work later.

Thanks again Timmy
