I have a crosman with the Quest type power plant. I noticed recently that barrel was crooked, not bent but crooked. It was noticeable in the forks of the compression tube with almost no clearance on one side but with plenty of 'daylight' on the other. I have never liked the plastic washers used by Crosman in the hinge area but was not sure if this was the problem. Taking the AG apart and removing the barrel I started measuring . All things checked out so I decided to make 2 replacement washers from brass. After reassembling the barrel with the brass washers, I checked the gap on both sides with a feeler guage and the lopsidedness of the barrel was gone. Plus the barrel now locks up like a bank vault.
