Splurged and bought me a new Browning Buckmark .22
« on: February 06, 2010, 11:28:25 AM »

I went ahead and bought a new Browning Buckmark practical .22. This one is an upgraded camper model, it has the fiber optic front sight, adjustable rear sight, and it has the nice rubber molded grips. It has the 5.5 bull barrel and one ten round magazine. It was pretty expensive because I bought it at Bass Pro Shops. It was $379 bucks.

I couldn't wait for any deals, I held it last night for about ten minutes and then gave it back to the clerk, I told him with patience, I will find a lower price, LOL! I could not get that pistol out of my head the rest of the night. I hauled my butt back to BPS as soon as I got out of work. Now were reunited, for ever I have a bunch of CCI mini mag to run through her, all I need is a day off

That Buckmark is a nice pistol Hilman76.  I owned one several years ago  Mine was slab sided type.   It was reliable and accurate.   Traded it after about 250K rounds through it.  Biggest problem was finding magazines for it.

Congrats on the new Buckmark Camper.  Try some CCI standard velocity, too.  The MiniMag rounds are probably OK, but they beat the slide up over time and are not as accurate, at least in my vintage Buckmark bull barrel.

Thanks guys. I cant wait for my day off, I found that I have about 500 rounds of Winchester wildcats, I'll save my CCI mini mags for the 10/22. I just finished ordering 8 bricks of 100 of the CCI standard velocity from Midway USA. Not a bad price, everybody else seemed to be out of it. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=271391 I hope she will eat up and shoot both the Winchester and CCI with no problems, but I really hope she likes the Winchester, its easier to find and cheaper.

Oh man Tuna, now Ill be up all night surfing Rimfire Central.

found some magazines for about $20 bucks from sportsman's guide.

Nice gun.  I paid $299 + tax for my Buck Mark Contour 7.25 URX - http://www.browning.com/products/catalog/firearms/detail.asp?value=006B&cat_id=051&type_id=422  - about a year-and-a-half ago.  Can't believe MSRP is up to $509.  Wow.

This gun will cycle any .22LR ammo - even subsonics rounds.

That is a very nice handgun. You certainly can't go wrong with a Browning. snookman

Nice pistol you got there. I recently picked up a Buck Mark at a gun show and I like it. I agree with Tcups on finding some CCI Standard Velocity to shoot through her. CCI SV have been a little hard to find lately but it seems that Dick's has been the place to find them. Be careful when you go over to http://www.rimfirecentral.com/ The addiction over there is just as bad as it is here

I was out last week shooting w/ my P22 and Ruger and had a blast. I don't care what anybody says, there is nothing like shooting powder guns.

Anyways, I was talking to my brother about buying a Buckmark.
