Shadow's hunting ground's
« on: April 05, 2007, 01:33:04 PM »
Here's where I head out to hunt. Step off the back porch, through the gate and about a half a mile to here. The downed tree with the big ol hole in it is one of my favorite spot's to hold up for varment's. This pic is from this last winter. Anyone want to go hunting. Ed

Heck, after seeing that beautiful hunting landscape if I didn't have a string of workers compensation doctor appointment set up I'd pack a bag, jump on a plane, rent a car and be there in time for coffee in the morning :)

Hunt's ready when you boy's are. Open range, we can walk and hunt till our leg's give out !. I plan on doing a two day camp out hunt this summer. Sleeping under the star's and eating fresh kill on a open fire. Died and gone to heaven.:) Ed

I envy you guys, all i see are roofs. I do hunt in the desert and the game is on high alert because of predators(hawks, eagles, owls, coyotes and me). No bunnies or squirrels flolicking out there.  Fun to shoot my assault weapons or plink with my 22s and airguns but most of my hunting is with a 12 gauge  because of their speed. OH WELL

Nice  hunting grounds!

Where is Ed? Did I just see the ground move? Oh, it’s just Ed out shopping for lunch.

Hey guys, what’s that white stuff on the ground? Mmmmm, so that’s what snow looks like. Well I don’t think I want any part of that. Don’t have no white camo and I’m not painting my shadow white.

Ed, I should be there at 11:59, if not start without me.

Hey Ed,

Thought of you a few minutes ago.  I had to take a ride to the supermarket and as I was backing out of my driveway the headlights lit up the front lawn,,, and what do you suppose I saw???????

Yup, you guessed it,,, a huge bunny sitting there staring at me.  I was hoping he would still be there when I got home, as I planned on pulling out my night hunting gun which is my Winchester 1000 .177 with the light/laser setup.  But, of course,,,, I got home and the bunny was gone.  To bad too, I could already taste fried rabbit :)

In the front yard buddy! and no truck airgun. Well that's a real good sign Jeff, breeding season should be kicking in and they will be everywhere. Bet you were thinking, how can I get back to the house, get my gun and get him hehe. He will probably be back later in the wee hour's for another meal.I'm thinking positive and knowing your savy hunting skill's ,I'll be looking for your hunt pic's any day now. Go get em buddy.Ed

You're correct Ed about more of them showing up.  In the past 2 days I've seen 3 different rabbits in my yard.  Of course each time I went to get a rifle and came back they had scurried off somewhere, but they are definitely showing up in greater numbers lately.

Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll have a pic or two to post.  :)
