B26 pellet question
« on: February 11, 2010, 05:01:22 AM »
What types of pellets have you have the best results with shooting from the b26. I've heard alot about the CPHP's as to how accurate they are. Any suggestions?

CPHP's CP's RWS Superdomes Predators/polymags have all shot well in my B-26 .22 but each gun is different. Let us know what pellet you find shoots best in yours.

My .22  B26-2 likes Beeman FTS, H&N Field Target Trophys and CPHPs that fit tight. I have some CPHPs that fit a little looser and they don't group as well. I had a tin of RWS HPs that grouped really good, purchased 4 more tins and they don't group well at all. My B 26 is pickey about what pellets I feed it ( I don't think they all are ) but it will produce one holers with the right ones. Hope this helps.

Charlie,

mine loved the gamo match and the RWS hobbies equally. It also grouped well with the daisy Wadcutters.

Don't this Pellet(?) Drive you up the gun Rack!!
I'm now the owner of a bunch of pellets none of my few guns will shoot!!-- 117.
Said the TF97-22- I think it will shoot anything that fits in the Barrel ,Very good!

wish I had a 117 Rifle that would match it in accruacy.
That does not cost a arm&leg!

my b26 .22 loves jsb exact express.  at 21 yards 5 shots touch or stack  always, and very easy to do it.   Superdomes. daisy wadcutters, and predators all group good(from a dime to a quarter)  daisy is surprisingly good especially for price and availability.  The .22 is not crazy about any beeman pellet that i have shot, and  does not shoot any other daisy well at all.  My B26 .177 shoots superdomes and jsb exact diabolo the best so far.  I can one hole 3 or 4  shots with these two, however, I seem to still have a flyer or two in this caliber.(5 shots  at 21 yds with the flyer tend to be quarter size)  The predators shoot almost as well as the exact and superdomes.  The CPHP's  shoot pretty well but flyers are much more prevalent. The .177 hates all daisy pellets that i have shot.  I dont know why but my .177 is harder to shoot consistantly than my .22.    The .177 may be a little more hold sensitive I just dont know.   (I know Flyers are my fault, I just can't figure the .177 out)       Back  to question of CPHP's accuracy.  My .177 will shoot them well and sometimes they will be all over the place.
Good shooting,
John

I thank you for that on the B26, in 22 cal.
that was one I was going to get about 4-5 weeks ago ,But got the B12 for the easy cocking in 117 . & I can't shoot it worth any thing 3" groups!!. At 15yrds. & at 10yrds??
& I bought the jb's Dome $11.99 for 500.

Why are some Air Gun's so pellet picky?
& others not?
I can see how the fps would play in !
& a tight fitting pellet, .
I have shot trash pellets (the skert bent!)
in my 22 and they shoot just as good ?
& Daisy's 22 are as good as any I've shot.
& Wally world $2.94 250ct.

i really didnt find a pellet that was bad in mine but the top choice is hobbies when target shooting and kodiaks for hunting. at 20 yds, the kodiaks go into the same hole with a 5 shot group. looks like a single pellet. wish they wasnt so expensive. beeman silver arrows also do above average.
