Mine arrived last week. It's been anything but good shooting weather here, so it went right into the safe after a quick inspection. It felt like a nice balanced rifle. The burl-wood looking stock isn't going to fool anyone, but it has a very nice feel to it. It did NOT give a hollow sound like a Gamo stock when I tapped on it. The stainless steel finish was flawless as far as I can see.
I sent ONE pellet into the trap before I locked her away. The locking ball detent on the barrel gives a good snap upon opening or closing. The piston sounded like it could be a little dry, due to a slight squeaking that I heard when I cocked it. It did not buzz, I believe it didn't diesel. Can't really report on the trigger from one shot, but it didn't feel like it had an unreasonable pull weight to it.. The open sights are the fibre optic kind, and I like them. I'll probably end up scoping this, but will initially use the open sights. The front post sight is covered by a globe, so it won't dig into your palm when cocking, something that I did not like about my TF-89 (till Gene made me a brake for it).
I've seen several discussions where this is a TF-89 clone. They look like close cousins for sure. I have both and see that there are differences between them, they don't even feel alike, but one has a synthetic stock and one has wooden stock, so that would give a different feeling right there. My TF-89 is pretty harsh when it comes to firing, it's a brute. I did not get that feeling from the one shot I did from the Hammerli. So for an overall cost of $89 (free shipping) I've made worse deals for sure. It won't be till March that I will have the time to get out to shoot her.
