Whisper deluxe, trigger options
« on: February 13, 2010, 12:21:02 PM »
Yesterday I received my gamo whisper deluxe from cabelas.  After putting about 300 shots through it yesterday and today, I decided to buy a GRT-lll trigger for it.  Before I ordered it I read that if your trigger was plastic, then this mod would not work.  So I checked my trigger with and earth magnet and sure enough, it was plastic.  So apparently I have the new dumbed down model of the whisper deluxe.  Since the GRT-lll will not work, is there any other upgrades I can use or anything thing I can do to help the trigger.

The trigger housing is pretty much closed up unit  :0 and the spring guide is also a part of the trigger system in the new Gamo's. :0 Other then letting the trigger sear etc. wear in to make the pull hopefully somewhat smoother. I haven't heard of any upgrades for the new trigger or of anyone working on them to decrease the pull lbs. The Gamo is still able to be tuned but the trigger and spring guide can not be changed. Ed

Like Ed said..... for right now I'd just keep shooting it and it should wear in a bit.

Me, I'd call up Gamo and tell them that their trigger broke and for them to send me a new one.  Then I'd tear down the one they sent me, see if the trigger is replaceable and see if I can put the trigger assembly back together again.

Gamo usually has the customer send the whole shooter back for repairs and or replace it with another. Ed
