R7 drops a few pests
« on: February 18, 2010, 10:41:05 AM »
With all the snow cover here on LI the starlings are hurting for good eats .Today i couln't finish a beef pattie from lunch so at 3:00pm i tossed it in the feed dish under the bird feeder . It wasn't that cold so i opened the window and was shooting some target at 25 yards with the .20cal r7 when 4 came in for a snack 2 got whacked 10 grain beeman lasers anchored the first one while his buddie looked down on him i dropped him also . beef pattie dose it every time they can't resist that yellow corn tortilla thats so easy to see and so very tasty .

Nice shooting,  nice looking R7.

I agree with you about the yellow beaks being on the prowl for food due to the snow we have.... I'm getting starlings at my feeding station every day.  The only problem is that once I take a shot the entire flock leaves and never comes back.....
