i welcome all to check out my website nothing extravigant but i have fun with it. every year around the begening of august i start up the feeders and deploy the trail cams i retrieve the photo's once a week thru the entire season all photo's are from my property in virginia. me and my family have a sort of managment program going and are pretty picky on the one's we take. i am a archery hunter for the most part till one just won't get close enough then we go for the 50 cal have a look and drop in from time to time during the season there will always be new trailcam photo's and if i'm lucky maybe me holding one of the bruts.   http://thehowellnet.com:82  have fun and shoot safe  Robert.

thanks be sure to check out all could take some time but there are some nice videos there as well and the trail cam photos seem to go on for ever.i will also have a camera man next year so it could get interesting.

Depending upon how big your property is, you might want to consider quartering it if you haven't already. Some years back, Virginia Wildlife magazine had a nice article on the results of a private club which restricted hunting to only one quarter of their land, rotating the quarters every year. They were producing some trophy-weight bucks. Sounds like you have a nice setup. I envy you your place to hunt and shoot. Here in NoVa it's like we're in Central Park. Can't spit without it being a "self propelled projectile" AKA firearm.

i don't have alot of land 10 acres but it borders my father and his 10 and my grandmother and her 50 and by brother and his land which all backs to about 500 acres of realestat that is vacant that i have permision to hunt and ride atv but i also lease 200 acres in maddison va for hunting. we do not get very big body deer here 130 pounds is as big as we have killed but they do seem to have the genetics best b&c to come out of here was 169 1/8 which my brother was the lucky one mine both went in the low 140's.

Heck, 130's good. There are just too many in a lot of places. Sounds like you guys have yourself a Ponderosa there (if you can recall or have seen that show.)

ya all my family live here amongst each other little four wheeler paths that pass from one to another. the lay out of housing is kind of like the clifton area in fairfax but our deer mostly come from quantico marine base accross the street if you are very familier with the area. there is a builder that has been tring to get the large piece behind use and i think next year they will begin developing the access roads that should put a hult to the good deer hunting but there are still plenty of small game for pellet rifles we have also began to see cyotes so my new savge 17 cal will get some use soon.

Yeah, I'm right up the road here but I don't live in the town of Clifton. We are closer to Centreville (Little Rocky Run). Haven't seen the 'yotes yet but it's said they are here. Hope you get to enjoy the "country" for as long as you can. Dang developers would dig up their grandmother's grave for a buck. You should see how they were salivating over Belvoir, LOL.

yup i know exactly where that is, i work in manassas park and the developers are working towards my direction fortunatly my street is already developed as it is going to get and when they develope the the property behind me i will still not be able to see them thank god.
