The big thump is nice, but the loud "FLOP!" when the pellet hits is better!

Put a brisket on the smoker and boiled a hog's leg in Coke. Finished the pig on the grill for some modified carnitas.

Either one is wicked bad in a tortilla with some really hot pico.

I think my A$$ hates me now...

Not my fault we're out of ice cream.

Had better than that Dookie... Found fresh deer road kill, took it home and butchered it and made some fresh chili. Lots cheyanne and spices. Added some beans and Walla. Great easter dinner, even though it was fresh road kill......... lol

Hay Gene,

I don't think you would want stale road kill.

Although with enough cheyanne and hobineros, I don't think that would matter much.

By the way, I love you'r new logo on your page, but you seem to have lost the ADMINISTRATOR, NOME DE PLOUR. I thought you was gettin real fancy for us !

Try makin' chili with road kill in west Texas and you wind up renting a room at the Graybar.

Of course it could either be a "poaching" issue with the game warden or your recipe.

For all those who read this: PLEASE DON'T PUT BEANS IN YOUR CHILI. (somebody needs to make this a sticky!)...HA, some Carolina boy braggin' to a Texan about chili.

Well Dookie, when you see a car hit a deer around here, you are doing the state a favor by putting slug in the poor deer's head and hauling it off.. Dats da only human thing to do and make a deliciouse meal out of it to boot.. You know what they say.."Waste Not"...:) Hey around here when you see a road kill, and it looks fresh, you stop your car and get out and check to see if it is still warm.. No laws broken..:) And if it ends up in your trunk then all the better.. hehe

Wish we were able to do that here, unfortunately state property is state property until the state comes to haul it off. In Texas anyway. Apparently they don't feel as though they need our help. Or our humanity.

Something funny; one year they made a big deal of people cutting the heads(racks) off of deer on the road. You would have thought they were busting pedophiles and crack dealers.

It was pretty strange to see headless deer strewn down the highway, except of course for the does. They got to hang on to their noggins.

It's sad that the State of Texas has to be so hardcore about it's game laws. Hell, for some that is the only way they're going to get a deer. There is hardly any public hunting land and unless you have a lease or are really great friends with someone you're gonna bust.

Just want to make sure you know I was kidding about your chili. I'm sure it was great! The way I make it I don't know if anybody could tolerate the gas AND indigestion.

Hey Dookie

Send me a bowl of your chili. The more pain I’m in, the happier I’m. :p  And don't put  them there whistle fruits in my bowl of reds.   :0
