Afternoon Delight
« on: February 24, 2010, 03:09:52 PM »
I got off work this afternoon and headed out to the out skirts of town and did a little squirrel hunting. I no sooner got to the place where I was going to hike when this fatty showed up. It was about 10 yards away. I turned on the Red Dot on the 2240 and let the pellet fly. The bad boy stumbled back and did the death dance and gave up the ghost.. Another great afternoon trophy. Here's a pic of him and the gun..

Nice shooting with a pistol!  I thought it was very hard to get that close to a ground squirrel.  You must have a great hiding place..  how do you manage getting within 10yds of them?

He was eating grass and didn't notice me until the pellet hit him.

I love the Red Dot on the 2240 it works really great on shots under 25 yards. It has been a lot of fun shooting that new rig.

What's nice about it is you can pull up quick for rushed shots and just place to dot where you want to shoot it makes it really easy to find the target.

I've never tried one either, but I'll bet it would be great on just about any air gun out to 25 yards.
