Gotta spend the next 7-10 days warming up to her, in hopes she'll be easy on you when she sees the brown pull up. hehehe. Congrats on the new purchase. I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Why not hide in the bushes and intercept the brown Santa before he rings the door bell.

Take the gun out of the box  and walk in the back door moaning and groaning about missing that seed thief. Saying that you don’t see how you could have ever miss a easy shot like that. Kicking a chair a couple of times helps it to be more convincing, just don’t over do it here.  :0

Now don’t get me wrong, I would never try this stunt myself.    :emoticon:

Well DJ, the way I see it , there should be a good reason for the wife to be mad at me every once in a while. It makes up for all the " what did I do!" moments. LOL  You can be in trouble with a new rifle, or without one. A night on the couch seems like a small price to pay for a fine German gun. Good luck with the rifle, and the wife.

What I do is tape a note to UPS driver to leave package with transaction number by the front door...note is taped over the door bell button. Works well for I have a side entry garage and we never use the front door.

Her friend actuly paved the way for me a few years ago when I bought my FN FAL. The wife was throwing a fit about it so her friend started running her mouth about how she should get a ring that's just as much every time I by a gun. My wife got real quiet and I said that's a great idea, how much was your wedding ring? It was 13 grand. So I think she stil owes me a few guns off that deal. Lol I'll just throw that in her face and have her mad for 2 days. That will give me time to break In the new gun without haveing to deal with her whinning about come snuggle me. She also works nights so I don't have to sleep on the couch. Yep this mite work out pretty good for me after all.

I know you are excited.   I am waiting for a B-26 that I just ordered.  Should be here Tuesday.  Anticipation is high.   I'm fairly lucky, my wife pays little attentiion to what I am buying.  If I bought a field cannon and set it up in the living room....then she may notice.  And the most she would say is, " Thats nice".

I fell for you buddy I just recently snuck out one evening to go look at a new rifle and decided I could not wait and longer and proceeded to purchase and after waiting a hour in the store for the back ground check to come back I had to go and they said they would call when it was all good, after arriving at home the phone rang and before I could get to it the wife was sitting there listening to the sales clerk on the answering machine saying everything came back ok Mr Howell your gun is ready for pick up. I have seen that look on her face before so I just ran. good luck and hope you enjoy the new rifle.

DJ, post a picture of your new rig first thing. That way should your untimely demise come true, none of us will have to further anger your widow by asking her to post pictures before one of us purchase your gun.  Now I'm all for keeping peace and harmony in my marriage, so that being said, I just have Big Brown deliver my items to my buddy's house just around the corner. Once I get her inside the house it becomes a "what this old thing, I've had her for awhile now, why do you ask". I bet you will love your new purchase, I've had my RWS 350 F-kraft Pro Compact for a few weeks now I love that thing. Not sure about the compact part, since it's the heaviest gun I have.
