Whataya do when its too windy to shoot or fly??
« on: February 27, 2010, 03:17:31 PM »
For me, I charge up the batteries and knock the dust off my homebuilt one of a kind RC RockCrawler.
I built this thing years ago and have been so wrapped up in airguns lately that I forgot how much fun it is.
So, what kind of hobbies do you fellows have other than airguns?

Now thats kool! I've got an XMods RC Car that I mess around with. If it's too cold, windy or raining outside I usually just build a new plane or tweak the ones I have. OR, I annoy my wife & dogs with my palm sized Heli's! hehe

Getting some stick time on the Sim is another (duller) possibility.

Too windy to fly??  Had an old N model 172 up to 13,500 last week for some photography.  Took quite a while to get up there with 160hp, big O2 bottle and mask and everything.  Wind was blowing 50-60 knots and I could back up for the next lines!

I have been bussy with honey-do's, shoveling snow, putting out the trash, after I shovela place to put it, shovel some more snow, clean off the cars, checking tire pressure, cleaning the area around the cars, and after all this, I get ready for the next snow storm ! Off to buy gas for the snow blower ! Then it's REPEAT !!!!!

When it's too dark to shovel I take a hot shower, take three Excedrin Extra Strength and go to bed :0 Now that's my bedroom gymnastics Tommy ! :o

I can't wait until Spring gets here :D Maybe I can find where I put my air guns ?

Here in Kansas it is often "too windy".  I shoot archery at our local indoor range with my longbows, or recurves almost every day.
