Well I also wanted to see how my rifle (stock standard BSA Supersport .177)  group at longer distances...
The wind was blowing (left to right), so conditions could have been better, but hey this is Cape Town, might just as well get used to it, the wind is always blowing.

I wanted to do a 10 shot grouping, but mistakenly put 11 pellets in my mouth, so I took the extra shot... what do you do with the extra pellet anyway. I think I can improve a lot on this. I am still using the Gamo Pro Hunters, so new pellets (like JSB) might be an improvement. A bit of practise at this distance might also do the trick. If the grouping still suck in a few weeks time, I'll just blame it on the wind.

Mine is more accurate than me, however I put two magazines of shots in the same hole yesterday at 30yds when testing a new model muzzle break design. The rifle is a standard Logun Gladi8or in .22.

Two guns, finally got a chance to do some shooting.  Target was shot in my shop at only 10 yards, best I can do for now.  Top 6 targets are the Gamo CFX .177, bottom 4 are the Diana 350 .22 Mag.  Even at 10 yards, it's obvious the CFX doesn't like anything Crosman :-).  It's also obvious the 350 likes Predators.  The one low and out shot was my fault, I jerked the trigger.  BTW, all groups are 5 shots, rested.  CFX has a Leapers 3-12x44 AO full size in Accushot 1 pc. high mount, scope was at 3x.  350 has a Simmons 44 Mag 6.5-20 AO in Beeman 5039 adj. mount, scope set at 6.5x.  Still want to get a lower powered gun for indoor use, think I'll probably go with the IZH 61.  Later all.

Ok, going out on  a limb here, perhaps this post is out of date. Testing a rifle recently tuned, and this was the start of the shakedown and pellet testing. I had decided not to use the pellets shown in the picture below as they were too sloppy in the breech. I have about 10 more pellet types to put thru it in the near future.

Gun used: Hatsan mod 100 underlever in .177 cal. Scope: Tasco 4-16 x 40 Rangemaster
Pellets: H & N Silouhettes ( testing but didn't like them, skirts too loose and flyers)
Range 30 metres
Rested
Wind: strong/gusty L to R
