New gun time...But what one ?

I'm after a new PCP...Have narrowed it down to 3 possables..
2 are Theobens ..Rapid or rapid MFR  & 3rd is a Daystate MK3
 What i'm after is a HIGH shot count as theres nothing worse than
running out of air while hunting and it can be a hour walk back to the
car to refill..Thats the main reasion I sold the AR6 15 shots...& don't
use the Career much ..24 shots....
All these guns are over $3000 so have to get it right first time..

The Theoben Rapid gives 90 shots per fill @ 30fpe...
the Rapid MFR gives 300 shots per fill @ 12fpe maybe possable to
up the power to 16fpe for around 200 shots ? "maybe"
both come with 400cc bottles..but theres a 500cc option...

the Daystate MK3 25 shots @ 30pfe...but has a computer trigger system
with a battrey in the stock that lets you have 16 power settings...
It uses a linar mottor to open the valve... So valve opening time can
be controled down to milli secs...

Now theres another ...Gunpower storm...500shots per fill at 12fpe
May be possable to up the power & still get around 250/300 shots..
But its one of those starwars prop look a likes "condor style" yuck
but its only $2000..

All are .22

I'm sort of leaning towards the Theoben Rapid @ 90 shot s..

So what are your thoughts..

For sure the Rapid. I have looked at those allot but my right butt cheep quivers when I dwell to much on them...

I have a friend in New Zealand, Ian Colcord, do you know him? Ian is an accomplished airgunner and might make you a good recourse. Although I don't have any of the three, from what I have read I would lean towards the Rapid as well.

You have already had Evanix rifles so why not the Blizzard? Mine gets 45-50 shots before I need to refill the air tube. Nice and hard hitting and not nearly as expensive as those listed.
If the money isn't that big a deal go with the Rapid with the 500cc tank.(from my reading... NO personal experience)

yes the evanix has the shrouded ar6/ar4 which has 60fpe and the new rainstorm has 46 fpe with a 1lb pull on the trigger and the level of noise has been given a 2 which is low like the marauder that will be my chioces for now the blizzards r also made awsome for a friend of mine has one and i love it .my 2 cents and hopefully ill have one of them by sept. if not before the year is over but these r very well made and worth the money .check up on pyramid air in the .22 cal section ...jorge

i say rapid. but why dont you get a mini CF airtank to carry in the field? airhog makes a few small ones and you can prob. find them in the classisifeds. just an idea

Hey Kiwi, you have had the AR6 already. Now they are coming with a shrouded barrel. Also a new model inbetween the AR6 and the Blizzard, with more power than the Blizzard though less than the AR6. It is also supposed to be a quiet one.

Are you sure you don't want to wait a bit and see if the Korean rifles you already know come into play here?

yes also the rainstorm seems like a winner with 46fpe 1lb pull trigger and very low as far as noise is concern they rated a 2 low with a 10 shot clip ....jorge
