Just looked at the pics again.... I had never noticed before the U clamp that you used to secure the pole to the bench, what a great idea  :)

That settles it,,,, tomorrow I'm off to WallyWorld to get me an umbrella   and an appropriate sized U clamp  :)

Nice looking bench Jeff. Thanks for giving us all some new ideas on bench rests..:)  I be tyou do not move that one around much... hehe

Gene,,,, all I did was work from Tommy's plans and design and he sure did design a nice bench  :)

As for moving it around, 2 people can move it fairly easily but I wouldn't attempt it by myself. I don't  have to move it though,,, I put it at the 30 yard mark in my backyard range and that's where it's stayin  :)

I hope some of the other members who are looking for a nice shooting bench take advantage of Tommy's design like I did, I love it  :)

Yes you are right Jeff. Tommy did make a tank of a shooting bench..:) Solid, sturdy and will last forever or as long as you are able to shoot.

Gee, I just built an ambi one of my own design. This versionis much better. I had some left over 4x6 which started my project. I will say, it is a heavy sucker....
