what does woodchuck meat closely resemble?taste ?just curious. :)

I can't really think of any meat that it tastes like but it is very good, especially the younger ones.  Give it a try I think  you'll like it.  My personal favorite is to fry the younger, more tender g-hogs with a good coating of cajun spices.  I'll take that over fried squirrel any time  :)

With the hot weather we have out here in SoCal i wouldn't eat them.. They may have the same issues as ground squirrels with the fleas and plague.
