Any Homebrewers here???

I have been an All grain brewer for about the past 5 years... wonderfull hobby!!!

Not a 'Homebrewer', but anybody that is... is my kinda guy.    Making your own brew just appeals to us Southerners.   You know what I mean?

Down here, its more corn whiskey than home brew.

LOL hard to find good corn spirits around these parts... every once in a great while some comes around but not often

I tried to make my own beer years ago, when it became popular, and all the equipment was readily available,

Try as I did, I couldn't make anything worth drinking :p

I could have bought several cases of good beer for what I lost in that endeavor :0

Wade the first time I tried clear i abused it.. Went bind for a day... Second time I gave it some  respected and only took a few pulls off of da jar..  Sometimes a friend of mine from NC will give me a mason jar and I put it in the freezer.. Some cold nights a couple of pulls off that jar sure makes you warm up...

Homebrewing has come along way bout the last 10 years or so...

Michael, I have wanted to try home brewing but never found the time, but I have had the privilege to try some very good home brew. It was some of the best beer that I ever tasted, just don't drink the stuff that's at the bottom of the bottle!  snookman

I hear you Gene, a little goes a long way. The man I knew even put it up in oak for a few years.  The best brown liquor I ever had a taste of. aaahhhhh... the good old days. snookman

lol yea the stuff at the bottom of the bottle is a yeast cake where the yeast settles down.... super high in B complex vitamins..... but allittle to much with give ya the runs LOL

Unless your drinking a hefeweizen that is.... Hefe's are supposed to be drank with the yeast

I homebrew. In fact I have 10 gallons in a couple carboys waiting to be bottled. A cranberry stout and a baltic porter. I've won some awards in a national contest for homebrewing...

These may be my last all-grain brews, as I feel like I can do as well with extract and good use of adjuncts, and I can do it in a lot less time. Time is a major issue...
