What spring did you put in it?  Maybe the new spring is incorrectly sized and not allowing the rifle to cock properly.  I had a similar problem with a spacer in the Vortek Pro Guide 2 kit.  It turns out that just a single 1mm thick spacer can prevent cocking and locking onto the sear.  If you put the old spring back in, do you still have the cocking and locking problem?

In looking at the first and second picture, it looks like the positioning tab under the lug behind the trigger is not seated in properly and off to the left and not under the rear of the trigger correctly. If that is the case, then the trigger will be loose and will also drop down as well as move back and not hold the trigger housing up in position properly. It would also explain the need to move the trigger ahead to get it locked in.

Another question would be..... did you take the trigger apart or do any work on the sear, like dress  up the surface???

If you did not try to do any trigger adjusting then the trigger blade should be fine.

I gave them some twists to see if that helped, don't know if I got them back in the right places.

You can go to Bob's trigger web sight in our MALL section here and it gives you a troubleshooting guide to readjusting the trigger. Ed

Good deal and that's what the family does here. :) I actually had the same problem awhile back and don't why it didn't come to me, that's why we got Bob. I had to tweak that piece of metal on mine since it wasn't giving the trigger housing enough support. Ed

Live and learn. Experience is the best teacher. If someone would have told me to watch for that it probably would not have done any good. But I'll be watching for it the next time.
