Hah! I have one coming and will probably buy another tomorrow. Man, it's been IN-SANE. Feel like Crazy Eddie! Must be the spring thaw, all these deals abounding. Someone on Brad's just sold a Diana 75 HV, no sights but in great working condition, for $325 plus shipping. That's almost a fixer-upper price. Like I say, not enough money, not enough brains.  :D

If you hanker after a B40, you might see if Howie still has his available. I think it was about $270, shipped, but with a nice maple (?) Tyrolean stock. Didn't sell here, so he must have pulled it. Howie is good about his guns, too.

Thanks,

I've got a B-40 in .22 but I thought I might get a matched set. Howies wouldn't fit that profile. After boo-coo amounts of time I finally got my RWS-75 fixer upper fixed up. I have attached a picture for you. Looking to do some mini-sniping as weather and mosquitos permit. It's finally been above 30 all week and I am thankful for that. I'm even going to try and get the bike out tomorrow, unless it rains--50% chance.

Great reconditioning Craig. That is a great shooter for 10 meter. I was able to find a nice Chines clone of the FWB 300 but have not found the time to work on her yet. Timmy did the refinish on the stock for me.

Not 10 meters Gene but 35 yards firing at 9mm cases.(Mini-Sniping)

By the way, you work on one of my guns and I'll refinish one of your stocks: No slight to Tim intended.

Gee, Gene, you looking for a 75? Got a nice one but no sights and original seals. Could work a deal, baby. HyScore 820SM (75) with great walnut stock. Probably going to give it the axe soon.........See, two can play this game.  :)

I read some where, I would have to find it again.
A Crosman rep claiming that the Rem version had a little better fit and finish, and that the trigger was a better quality stamping.

Well that is what I have heard also. The stocks are much nicer. But the trigger can be replaced with the CBR Trijgger Mod by CDThttp://charliedatuna.com/NPSS.htm. The trigger after the mod is just about as perfect as it gets..:)

I'll agree with you there Gene. Not that the original trigger was "bad" (after adjusting), I picked up a Tuna trigger more out of curiosity than anything else. Wow - what a difference

I'm skimming the post trying to pick out the info. Are you saying that the Crosman and Remington compression tube is larger in diameter than the Benjamin trail? I have been holding out for the laminated trail in .22 but....

Yes I am. The Remington and Crosman NPSS piston tubes are larger and of course the seal is larger..:) Roughly the same size as an RWS 350 seal. The piston on the left is the NPSS piston. The piston on the right siide is from a Gamo, and the Trail NP uses the same 1" Apex/Tesla seal

Thank you much Gene. I didn't think they whould have changed it that much but you never know. I guess i'll have to order one of the Crosman or Remington versions instead and forget the nice laminated stock.

Jaons, I can't tell you how disapointed I was when I found out that Crosman was not going to make any of the new Trail NP's in .177..:( I wanted that black lam stock real bad.. I was looking at the two guns I have here, one an NPSS and the other a Trail NP. Stocks are not interchangable..:( Maybe someday Crosman may offer the black lam on the Remington line of NPSS...:)

But like is said it is my opinion that the NPSS is a much better quality build and materialsthan the Trai NP. Power pland wise..
