Springer to Rammer
« on: March 13, 2010, 03:16:29 AM »
I have developed a gas ram conversion which eliminates the piston, top hat, mainspring, rear spring guide and springer recoil. A complete conversion which has been described as feeling like a PCP. I can vary the piston stroke to suit your requirements. Anyone interested?

And would you mind sending your info to a reputable tuner here in the U.S sine you are in South Africa ? Some of us don't mind spending a bit extra on mods but do not have the expertise to do the install ourselves.

Not sure how you can eliminate the recoil. Any time you have an action, there will be an opposite reaction. When the trigger is pulled and the ram is released, there will be an opposite reaction and when the ram stops in the bottom of the cylinder, again there will be an opposite reaction, just as in any spring gun. It's  just exchanging a ram for a spring and not using a spring.

Also, roughly how much are we talking in costs for these rams???

Would be very interested in seeing some pics...
Only a few weeks ago I posted in one of Genes threads
that it seemed silly to me to have a piston in a gas ram gun
use the ram body as the piston....
Good to see some one that can think out of the box that constrains
most...

Ps..The Crusaders want there super 14 trophy back...
