I was out in the shop this afternoon shooting my modded 1377 for practice and got the crazy idea to remove the crosman stock and put on some pistol grips just for fun to see If I could hit anything with it set up that way.
It was starting to get dark and I took a few quick shots at a target I have set up in the back yard just a few yards from my bird feeder and turns out I can shoot it pretty well as a pistol.
About this time a small mouse came out of the tall grass in the pasture next to the feeder and began feeding on spilled bird seed on the ground.
I loaded up another Crosman 7.9 gr pointed hunting pellet and then
I cranked the scope all the way up to 16X and put the crosshairs on him and gently squeezed the trigger.
Believe it or not, I hit him dead center.
I thought to myself, that was luck.
So just for my own self satisfaction I loaded up and shot it again just to see if I could hit it twice or if it was indeed luck.
Well the second shot flipped him over like a aluminum coke can.
The measured distance from the garage to the base of the bird feeder is 70 feet.
I'm tickled to death.
I may never put that crosman stock back on this gun.
I've included a picture of the mouse and the cool pistol shooter just for size comparison.
