terror on yellow beaks
« on: March 14, 2010, 11:23:42 AM »
The family and I decided to head over to my parents house today for a little family time.  My dad shoots a crossman quest and keeps the yellow beak population in check, in fact, there hasn't been a yellow beak land in his yard for quite some time.  Nontheless, I decided to take the silent cat with me to do a little backyard plicking.  To my suprise, I pull into the driveway and there are yellow beaks everywhere.  I hurry the family inside and alert my dad to the yellow beak presence, we load the guns and head to the sun room.  Unfortunatley, no pictures are available, but we managed to snipe 11 yellow beaks in about  2 hours.  Every shot was between 30-40 yds and all shot freehand.  All in all a pretty good "family day."  I think I will go over again tomorrow.  You know, for some more "family time."  I plan to have a camera with me tomorrow.

An excellent way to spend a couple of hours..... good shooting.  Looking forward to the report from your next trip.

I noticed quite a few yellow beaks feeding on my lawns today as well, something I haven't seen in quite a while but I didn't have the time to shoot any of em.  If they come back tomorrow I'll shoot at em them  :)

That sounds like very good family time. Also, some very good shooting.

I wish I could shoot that well again...
