Yesterday I took delivery of the HW97K that I had ordered from Straight Shooters a few weeks ago. Talk about sweet! I ordered some Hawke scopes as well..two 4-16x50's, one for the 97K and another for the TX200 that I got awhile back. Last night, I put a one-piece mount on the 97 and just waiting for the Loc-Tite to cure before mounting the Hawke. It sure takes a long time for that stuff to dry, doesn't it....As soon as that one's finished, I'll start on the TX. Talk about a tough life, I also have a TF89 on the way from Mike Melick. I'm gonna have 3 to scope and zero. So far the wife has resisted saying "You need all those...?" She just rolls her eyes and shakes her head...
You know, all my springers are .177 with the exception of the TF89. I thought I oughta have at least one .22. Saying that, What's your opinion about a .22 with a gas piston? Any suggestions? I know little about em. They appeal to me for hunting since they may be left cocked for longer periods of time.
