Kills with an unzero'd gun.
« on: March 18, 2010, 05:41:16 PM »
Tonight, after work, WadeS came over to my mini-storage shop and we worked on his .22 Mendoza again.  He had remounted the scope on his resprung AR and hadn't zero'd yet.  We head out to my property to shoot for a while.  When we pulled up I grabbed the 12ga to shoot some pigeons flying out of the bin.  All of a sudden we see motion on the ground.  "Hybrid starlings" at about 22 yards!!!!  I hold still as he steps in front of me and takes the shot.  Whop!  The first one goes down immediately and doesn't move.  The second shot is nearly the same but it must have been a neck shot as the bird flops on the ground for a few seconds.  WadeS only has two pellets left and misses both shots.  No pellets left so I use my #2 shot and annihilate the thing.

I guess that`s what they call "Instintive Shooting".  Two great shots at those birds.

Nice attempt at disguise but I still recognize your Starling hybrids.
