Super!!! I guess the general consensious is that  Beeman is just as full of horse manure as all the rest of the airgun makers-marketers when it comes to velocity claims. So am I an idiot?!?,.... Obviously the manufacturers think so!! Truth in business,....that's oximoron isn't it? To add insult to injury,... We pay our hard earned money for it. That's life in the ag world. tjk

My experience is with the gun's I've bought HW or Beeman is my R1 DG in .22cal is rated at 765fps and I'm getting 760fps out of the box w/ 14.3 cphp's and my HW80 .20cal is rated at 735fps and I'm getting 800fps w/11.42 FTT's but the other rating I was on the HW80 .20cal was 860fps but doesn't say what weight of pellet, but do the math and it probly a 9gr pellet! But I have found them to be more accurate on thier velocity claims than most.

I think it is a typo

Beeman reports velocities close to what you get when shooting them.  The numbers on PA site where it shows the 0.22 caliber is faster than the 0.20, for the HW 80,  are wrong. Here is another example: Go to PA site and look at the R-9 they are selling, you will see two different velocities reported for the R-9 in 0.22 caliber in two different pags; this is also wrong.

Here is the site address for HW:

http://www.weihrauch-sport.de/englisch/e_produkte/e_weitschussluftgewehre/e_weitschussluftgewehre.htm

to convert the velocity from m/sec to ft/ sec multiply by 3.281.  The HW 80 velocity in 0.2 caliber is not listed.

As a rule of thumb the higher the caliber, within the same model, the lower the velocity.  If you see it different, it is most probably a typo (at least so far has been the case).

Beeman R-9 DG 0.22
Beeman R-9 DG 0.20
Beeman R-9 DG 0.177
HW 95 in 0.20
HW 50 in 0.177
RWS 48 in 0.22

Ok gta fam, I didn't mean to cause a storm on the subject, and I agree 100 percent with every reply to this thread. I love my RX-2, and I know that Weihrauch puts out a quality product.  I reckon I'm just looking to find out what I can expect in the .20 cal R1-80 shooter,... Be it a Beeman or an HW labeled rifle. Thanks for the heads up guys!! tjk

I know someone already mentioned in this thread an error is Straight Shooters' numbers.  Mistakes happen, but generally their numbers are what they actually chronied with one of their guns shooting the listed pellets. Don't know if they have any numbers on this rifle in .20 though.
