Any users of Spybot S&D?
« on: June 29, 2006, 07:07:32 AM »
I have tried downloading the newest updates, but keep getting a "checksum error", and the download terminates. Anyone else having this problem? Solution? I have tried using a few of the mirror sites but with no success.   :0   TIA.

I've had it on my system for quite a while now, have never had a problem.  Just checked it a few minutes ago, even checked for updates and it worked fine.

It ususally means the file is corrupt. They should have it fixed pretty soon. It's happened before with their updates.

If your looking for the BEST spyware program, "Spyware Sweeper" does better than anything else. I know that Spybot and Adaware are free and do a good job, but Spyware Sweeper will detect ALL instances of spyware in your registry and elsewhere. I have a good trial version of it if you want to download it and try it. You can run it, let it get rid of everything and then uninstall it if you want. Get it here

I have all my clients, both business and home, running Spysweeper. As Txairgunner has pointed out, SpySweeper is one of the most comprehensive scanning programs out there.

Also the removal engine is one of the best too. I have had systems that couldn't be cleaned until we ran SpySweeper!!

Good Luck
