Shootin range ideas
« on: April 15, 2007, 01:48:26 AM »
I think I have almost as much fun setting up this stuff as I do shootin them. Most ideas here have come from the members of GTA. Sorry about the pic as its kind of blurry.

1. multi-colored pantballs atop ducktape holders.
2. army men
3. water filled balloons
4. bottle caps adhered to easle with clear packaging tape
5. can of silly string fastened with duck tape
6. pellet tins
7. sticks of chalk
8. sandwich bag filled with flour (goes poof) when hit
other items, soda cans, old cd's, assorted shoot and see paper targets and different sizes.

Large target is an old easle board. I need to get some mudflaps on it to protect it. Target under the easle board is a galanized tub filled with old jeans. Other target is a metal paper holder that just sticks in the ground.

Shooting station is equipped with a refrigerater (for beer,...um...soda). Not shown is a bookcase converted into a pellet station and cleaning items. Rolling chairs for freedom of positioning. Beer,....um soda coolers and ash trays at each station. And pillows for those like myself who likes to use them as gun rests.

 :D AIN'T LIFE GREAT :D

I like the Paintalls! I do the same thing with my Rimfires. I use Golf Tees to set the paint balls on though. After you shoot the ball, shoot the tee!

Pretty neat. Looks fancier than the airgun club in Mass. that has indoor shooting stations for their range. I didn't see a fridge at arms reach  in their pics HeHe.

Greg, that's one nice shooting range. :) It's great to have a nice warm place to shoot during the chilly month's. Here's a pic of my indoor shooting range, it's above my two car garage which was a barn that was converted. It's a one car garage now, half is my shop for working on my babies. :)  My shooting range is 25yrd's long and the left side is set up for chrony testing (black target to the left). I've added more target's since this pic and my range includes a seating area for fellow addict's and sattellite TV. The fridge is down stair's. It's my GTA doghouse when the wife complain's about another air rifle LOL. Ed

Nice lookin Range Ed!

I have another Target Idea for the Range! I also use Charcoal Briquettes for plinking targets with my Rimfires. They Explode Nicely into a good sized black cloud.

I also get those bags of Farm/Jungle Creatures from Walmart for about a buck. Cows, Chickens, Pigs, Lions Tigers Bears OH MY! usually comes with about 45-50 animals per bag that are about an inch and a half long. I always think of "Long Range Sniping" when I shoot these or Army Men  :D
