Gamo Whisper Rifle Popped Apart

I have a new Gamo Whisper .17 caliber.  While shooting today the rear of the cylinder popped up out of the stock.  
The plastic rear cylinder cap popped off and two other parts cam out: a metal lock washer and a plastic piece that seems designed to rest flush against the cylinder.  See photo.  

Is there anywhere one can find an exploded view of this gun and figure out how it should go back together?

Did you find the hexagonal headed bolt also! Looks like the bits that fits behind the trigger housing! Try looking in the GTA library! I think most Gamos are pretty much the same in this area! check out parts 33730, 33740, and the missing 16190 on the pdf file for the gamo CFX

If I'm not mistaken, that metal piece is the tab that the rear stock screw goes through that is broken off from the trigger group. How hard are you cocking your rifle? I believe the other small piece has broken off from the inside of the plastic end  cap allowing it and the trigger group tab to  to fall off the back of the action. Looks like you've slammed the barrel down pretty hard when cocking it. I know because I'm guilty of doing the same thing to a very similar made rifle. If I'm correct about the trigger group tab, then you may as well order another one, build a spring compresser and get ready to perform a repair. For a schematic of the rifle, go to the library and look at the B18/B-19 parts lay-out. Again if I'm correct, you should be able to purchase the parts from Crosman since most of these guns and parts are identical with these models. Good Luck, tjk

If that's new John, - don't bother fooling around with it, send it right back for a replacement.

John, you have to be missing at least 2 other parts.  1. Stock link pin.     2. Rear trigger guard screw.

The Rear trigger guard screw most likely loosened and fell out.  Starting a cascading effect of parts loosening and falling out.

It would be prudent to put the gun up for now until  proper repairs are made.

If it all came apart on a "new" shooter I would send it back, no telling what else is wrong with it. I would also check the forestock for crack's along with the area where the front two screw's go through the stock to hold the action in. One thing to do upon receiving a new shooter is to check the mounting screw's that hold the stock to the action, loose most of the time. Ed

Bogey's rightn the tab couldn't fall oiut without the rear stock screw falling out too. I'm surprised you could cock it at all! I'd find all the pieces I could and send it back for a refund. tjk

I greatly appreciate all the feedback.   Really helpful.  
The rear stock screw, accessible though the rear of the trigger guard, did not fall out.  
I've tried to fool around with the two parts I retrieved and have been unsuccessful at reassembly.  
I'm going to send it back to Gamo.

The rear stock screw does not have to be out or missing. I can still be in the lug and the lug will be inside the stock.

What happened is the the lug itself was not tight letting it  back out and the rear trigger screw was not tight letting it turn.

The metal tab is not broken.  That is the way it should be. The lug goes through the hole with the ear facing up and the tab rotates under the rear of the trigger housing with the ear up against the outside edge of the trigger housing. The plastic part is the restrainer/spacer that sets between the trigger lug and the back of the trigger housing. Install it after the lug and tab are installed.

All you should need to do is look inside of the bottom of the stock and you will see the male threasds of the trigger mounting lug. Hold that firmly and remove the stock screw in the rear trigger housing hole. Probably a #25 torq screw so you may need to purchace a #25 torq screwdriver.Look at the picture and assemble it as you see.

The only question I would have is did the forestock or mounting holes and screws become damaged when it let go.

I believe you are exactly on point.  
The screw though the rear of the trigger guard stayed in and held the other parts in place.  
The 3 parts I showed as falling out, all came off the cylinder.  
I will work the parts together the right way and see if it will reassemble correctly.  
I can't thank you enough.  

BTW, I'd like to get in line for the full bore GRT trigger and tuning deal you have for my other Gamo Shadow which I supect has a broken spring.  
That is why I bought this second air rifle.
