No More Mr. Nice Guy
« on: March 23, 2010, 02:55:01 PM »
I have been thinking about this for a couple of days now.  I am through being passive and being polite.  One of my acquaintances (I won't say friends) expressed to me that she couldn't understand why we couldn't just get along and give BHO a chance.  After all, even if I didn't agree with everything in the health care "reform" bill, didn't I have to admit that there was  some good in it?

No. Not only no, HELL NO.  I am through being polite or reserving my comments in private or public.  I am going to be vocal and in the face of anyone who supports the agenda of the criminals who call themselves Democrats, who trample our Constitution, who disregard the voice of the American people, and who steal my property and tax the fruits of my labor, and who endanger our freedoms,  the future of my children and the future of America.

While I was cruising the 'net, I came across this on Drudge:

http://www.canada.com/Coulter+event+shut+down+security+concerns/2718231/story.

By God, if the left is going to break the law, threaten violence, pull fire alarms and deny the freedom of speech to conservatives and try to pull this horsesh-t, then by God, it is time for us law-abiding, conservatives to be in their face, and just as vocally oppositional, naming them and their leftist views for what they are -- Socialists, Statists, Communists, and Marxist thugs.  It is time for a vocal revolution of freedom of speech and a loud and clear re-affirmation of the Constitutional freedoms and rights this country was founded on.  I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it any more.  And any of you that have any hope of preserving your freedoms and throwing off the yolk of tyranny that BHO, Pelosi, Reed, and the other criminal elite in Washington have in mind for you, me, and our children should do the same.

If you are angry about what is happening in this country, it is time to make it know, often, loudly and in the face of America freedom's political enemies and to become a community organizer yourselves.  Joe Biden has it right -- this is a big, blanking deal!  I also invite those who feel the same way to consider doing the same . . . or you could just continue to be passive and hope everything will work out for the best.

Sincerely, etc.

It really is time to start figuring a way to divide this country physically. We're already divided politically, and that's NOT going to change. Let's take it to the next level, and make a complete break. - The dirty little secret is, the left needs us FAR more than we have any need for them. - Barely half of U.S. citizens pay any Federal taxes, - and a large number of those that do, DO NOT identify (or want) the lefts socialists agenda. - Left on their own, the Dems base "needs to tax us" to "pay for their programs", after all a good part of their base doesn't pay any Federal taxes. - For those in the middle, - tough, **** or get off the pot. ... They can have all the abortions, gay marriages, looser immigration laws, higher taxes, ban guns, lawyers/lawsuits on everything, execute cigarette smokers, (not grass of course), VAT tax, AID conferences after AIDS conferences, U.N. mandates applying to them, no drilling/mining anywhere, Cap & Trade laws/taxes, no one can make more than a $25.00 bonus, death taxes, - name it, and if it's on their "wish list" - they can have it. - Unfortunately for them, these laws will only apply to them, living in their section - and THEY have to pay for 100% of every new bright idea.
.
I'm with you on getting involved TCups, - and have tried to get folks off their butts on the 2nd Amendment. We as individuals have no right to continue to complain, while doing absolutely NOTHING to change things. I've always written to papers, contributed money to "causes" I believe in. Send a few "extra bucks" to the NRA every year. This year, thanks to "BO & friends" I'm going to be more involved. - Next week I'm changing my Will, and leaving "something" to the NRA and a few "causes".

I had this exchange with another on line -- got a PM inviting me to have a beer and talk things over with someone in favor of the health care "reform".  I basically responded "no thanks" and told him that my principles were well founded and we had nothing more to discuss that would change my opinion.  The reply I got was "Sorry you feel that way -- I will pray for you".

The response I gave him was that he ought to pray for America and to save our freedoms, and to pray for the patriots who had sacrificed and died to obtain an preserve our freedoms.  To pray for deliverance from those politicians who would take our God-given freedoms away, and perhaps pray for the unborn now subject to federally subsidized abortion on demand.  He and others have accepted the "BIG LIE" -- that health care is a human right and that an elected government can "grant" that right to free citizens.  The notion that those in favor of this abomination, this lie that is called health care "reform" hold the moral high ground is hypocrisy at its worst.  I am reminded of Jesus and the Pharisees whom He referred to as a "brood of vipers".  If this was such a good idea, then why was it a 100-year plus struggle, culminated by middle of the night Christmas Eve and again last Sunday night votes, taken against the will of the majority of Americans, and requiring outright bribes, and  violation of the laws of God (thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not lie) and the Constitutional law of the land?

The Washington bureaucrats and elected criminals who have foisted this disaster on Americans are like the money changers in the Temple.  They beat their breasts and claim to be doing things that are good for the people, but all the while, line their own pockets, consolidate their political power over the citizens of this country, and have the unmitigated gall to exempt themselves from this wonderful new national health care.  As I recall, Jesus overturned some tables and whipped some butt with a cord.  Maybe it is time to voice some righteous indignation and follow His example.  The damned liberal do-good'ers had better pray for themselves as far as I am concerned.  The BIG LIE is that this will do anything good for the country or for the quality of health care of any American.  Everyone's access to health care is about to be restricted, and health care is about to become the "lowest common denominator" in quality -- just like public housing and public education.  And hypocritical thieves in Washington are getting rich and trying to take the moral high ground while doing so.  A pox on them all and their "Bill of Wrongs".

This may surprise you TCUps, - but I'm probably the only conservative in the country that has NO problem with "health co-ops". In my view, there's NOTHING more American than a group of folks getting together to solve a problem, - regardless of what that problem may be. The only stipulation being that any/all co-ops are privately run. There's nothing in the Constitution that says health insurance "has to be" run by a for profit company, - it doesn't have to be. I have absolutely no problem with a company or individual making a good buck, - but a group of folks taking/saving a few bucks off the top is fine in my book too. Frankly, today health insurance is damn expensive, and the government running it is the last way to solve this, - it will end up making things a LOT worse. - I see "regional or state co-ops" as a good alternative, - but joining need not be mandatory. However, having some form of "basic insurance" is a good idea and should be encouraged. - Also, community clinics associated with the co-ops should be used as a way to stop people from going to an "emergency room" with a runny nose or cut finger. Emergency room would be restricted for just that - emergencies.

Among the groups specifically "exempted" from the new bill (Members of Congress and their staff, the President and his family, etc) are the Amish.  I have had the pleasure of having had several Amish patients through the years.  Wonderful folks.  They, as a community, insure each other and refuse to take government aid or third party payor insurance.  Charity begins at home, I guess.  Their approach is Biblical and everyone in the Amish community is covered. How much better a place America might be if the government didn't confiscate almost half of what hard-working folks earn and freed us to, by free choice, support the charities of our choice.

As for charitable care, I wager that there are few, if any doctors who collect all of what they bill.   In fact, it is typical that due to either "discounts" demanded by insurance companies or Medicare or Medicaid or uncollectible write-offs from folks who simply never pay their medical bills, most doctors collect half or less of what they actually bill.  And that number is about to go down.  Too bad that, unlike lawyers, who are able to take a tax break for "pro bono" legal work, doctors can't take a tax write off for uncollected medical bills as a cost of doing business.  Too bad that the debt service required to maintain the real estate, an office building, and in the case of a private radiology practice, millions of dollars of equipment -- CT, MRI, Digital Mammogram Units, Ultrasound and X-Ray machines isn't equally discounted.  Too bad I can't tell my staff "our reimbursement is being cut 30% so your check will be 30% less this month.  It is an absolutely crazy business model --  fixed (and increasing) debt and overhead expenses vs arbitrary (and decreasing) payments for services that may or may not cover the cost of the care provided.  And the "reform" will be to control costs by paying doctors and hospitals less for their time and services and to demand that they see all comers because they have a "right" to free or highly discounted medical care.  Every wonder why it is extremely difficult or impossible in some areas to find doctors who accept Medicare and Medicaid?

News flash, citizens:  Medical care is and will always be rationed by the ability to pay for the services.  The new paradigm will be that instead of being free to make your own choices, the government will now more heavily than ever tax the working citizens of this country to pay for the "Mother of all Entitlements".  There is absolutely no way it can possibly work out for the best.  And government bureaucrats will be in charge.

Health Care Reformer, Reform Thyself!!  Wake up, America!  Your government is taking over every aspect of your medical care, including when and how much you will be able to access the system.  The Secretary of Health and Human Services and committees of government bureaucrats are about to own you.  Think Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, or any of the other "evil" medical insurance providers were hard to deal with?  You ain't seen nothin' yet.
