BSA Scope Large Side Wheel
« on: March 25, 2010, 12:42:21 PM »

Well, I bought myself a BSA SWF624x44 side wheel focus scope. Mounted it on my Benji SS. I went on fleabay and found a large side wheel and bought it. After it arrived, I realized it was an Accushot SWAT wheel and does not fit the BSA. I've searched the internet and can not find a large wheel for BSA. I've sent BSA an inquiry about it but they don't even list one on their site.

Anybody know where I can get one or would one of you extremely talentedfolks be willing to mill me one?

Thanks AOT and Happy Shooting!!!!

Dave

Much better Dave...:) Thanks. I am sure BSA has a larger side wheel. They use them on other model scopes. I could mill one out for you but you would have to give up all your air guns to me..:)

hey dave how do you like that scope? and how much did you get it for and where? i suppose i could make one up for ya but i would need a good sketch or the small wheel that is on there to match the fit to the scope. how much are you looking to spend?

Aaron, I picked this one up off fleabay for $67 + $16 shipping. Pricetag on the box says it sells for $129.99. I just mounted it and haven't had a chance to zero it or really field test it. I plan on doing that tomorrow. I think I'm going to like the side focus. I bought an Accushot side wheel but it doesn't fit. I got that for $15.99 and PA sells them for $11.99-$14.45. I would hope to get one for $25 or less.

Gene, leave a few guns for the rest of us. LOL

I didn't see a big wheel listed on BSA's site but I sent them an inquiry anyway. Yeah, if some of the SWAT models come equipped with the wheel, they should be willing to sell one as a spare part. We'll see.

if not, I'm sure that they all use the same side wheel on there side wheel focus. on that series of scopes probably many others as well all their turret sections look to be the same or at least mostly. I like bsa scopes their tough, cheap, and work pretty well. not the greatest optics but for under 75.00 bucks what can you expect? I suppose I could get myself a side focus. and reverse engineer a wheel . maybe some one on the forum is willing to donate one to me and the I can make 6-12 wheels for the bsa's. of course the donor would get 3 of them at least.?? got some free machine time open at the shop right now . the fourth axis isn't being used either right now ???? I'm sure we could come up with some pretty trick wheels .

Well, back to square 1. BSA responded finally that they no longer have the large side wheels available. Guess since GAMO bought them, customer service and parts went out the window for them too.

Guess I can whittle one out of wood.
