Tough Choices
« on: March 27, 2010, 12:36:00 PM »
Well I almost purchased a tricked out Discovery when the wife gave me the green light for a nice 2001 Jeep Wrangler only 49000 miles on her and most were while being towed behind a RV. Man now I have a new recon 4x4 to get to those hard to reach hunting spots.. I was trashing her Yukon hitting those SoCal Truck Trails.. Now time to save up again for the Disco....

No Wingman, take the jeep back! That’s a lot of AG money sitting in your driveway.

My job has me driving a 4x4 every day. My advice is to use two wheel drive only. When (not if) you get stuck, you throw it in 4WD to get out.

Now if you don’t mind spending your next two AGs money on having somebody to pull you out of the mud, ditch, or off the rock that your high centered on then go for it.

Now get out in that back county and post some back county stories for us to read.

Clean and straight.      Beats buying a beater, fondly known around my part of the world as a POS  and trying to fix it up.

Hey looks like a good truck. I've got a disco, and even in its homeland with 24hr dispatch on parts required my disco ensures that my toolbox is never idle :o
There is a saying here.... "It's not broken, it's British!"
Sure it goes anywhere and everywhere, has its quirks and character but you sure need to be familiar with right side of a wrench to keep 'em running, not to mention a whizz at auto electrics every now and then when the Goblins come out to play! :emoticon:
