1st off, thanks to jeff and colleen for their hospitality in opening up their ranch to us for a day of shootin and grinnin !!
a few of us went out to jeffs place with both air-rifles and powder burners to do some pest eradication, of course in doing so; there had to be some range time to get the young-uns familiar with the "fast-burners".
on hand were 17hmr's, 45acp ( youll know it when you see the pics ), .223s and an ear shattering marlin 457 express custom built on a 45/70 action.
jeff and his daughter anna were havin a blast with her new 10/22 and jeffs DA only 45acp ruger.
my son ryans godfather; joe was on hand to lend a welcome hand in familiarization drills. joes a nationally rated pd tactical instructor and one heck of a teacher. he and ryan went out stalking and were "eliminating ' ground squirrels at a good 100 yards. most memorable shot was ryans 30 yard kill on a groundsquirrel using a kimber 1911......................not too shabby, it was ryans firts day and lessons in pistolas !!
bad thing now is,.....ive just gotta buy a new powder burner to play with. it'll likely be a .22 bolt gun, hopefully i can find an older marlin 60 or 25 to tinker with.
hope ya'll enjoy the pics.
