I have learned alot about airguns just reading all your post they have helped alot!!!shooting a whisper.177 cal.,already broke gamo piece of #!**## scope replaced it with one sitting around rated for 50bmg,fingers crossed I don't screw it up? trigger just like you all say junk,1/2 to more trigger pull & if its two stage I have really missed the boat on my knowledge of guns, strings all shots 1/2 to 3/4 in. horizonal unless I really constapate lol . mr. tuna will be getting an order from me real soon & yes its steel, shoots 10.5gr premier ultra mag. real will ,just as I said stringing 10 shot groups in line.my son can put 3 in one hole at our 15 meter range! too have young hands again & not be spoiled by my other triggers. again hello & be talking soon.   P.S 2 tree rats so far!!!

Welcome Jay,, very nice to have you with us  :)

Your accuracy with that Whisper will improve tremendously once you pop that gold trigger in the gun, trust me, you will be amazed.....

Looking forward to your future posts and if you hunt with that shooter be sure to post the pics and stories in the "Hunting Gate'.  We just love hunting stories and pics.

Again, very nice to have you with us buddy  :)

Hey Jay , welcome to GTA:) Will look forward to seeing some pics:)  Scopes can be a tricky thing on an AG..I always check that a scope can handle the two way AG recoil otherwise it just breaks!

Welcome Jay Morgan,

I also have a whisper .177, it will frustrate the heck out of you, but work your way though it and you will learn a lot and have nice shooter. Mine likes JSB 8.4 but it can change on you, so try a lot of different pellets. Check with the other guys, 10.5 grains may be a little heavy.

Welcome to the family Brother Jay. I think you will be amazed with the change the GRTIII trigger will make to your rifle. The best money I ever spent. It is like putting a Timney trigger in a powder burner. Good luck and let the addiction begin. LOL.   snookman

Welcome to the forum. I got a whisper 177 and put the CDT gold in it and it was amazing what it did. Didn't like the way it shot. Sort of all over the place so I went the route of the pellets and found the ones that shot the best. Still wasn't satisfied so I tore it down and found a 1/4 in. gouge in the seal. After a new seal and a spring and lube it became a different gun. So never give up till ya check all the alternatives. Sort of wished I got the 22 instead but a fine shooting gun,it is!  You know you are hooked now....and it gets worse!! but it's fun

Hey Poppa! :) Hey Everyone thanks for giving my dad a nice warm welcome!!! I am pretty damned proud of him to joining up to this forum its his first one LOL!! been bugging him forever that there is ACTUALLY usefull stuff out here on the itrawebz :)

And as far as that trigger on the gamo goes.... it really is crap... its long and sloppy and very disorintating! think we got him convinced to get a tuna trigga and when I get done building my B3 think we will throw it in the compressor and take her apart and do a tune and lube and triggerI am sure it will be like a whole new gun!!

Welcome Jay,

Just to say somethings about my .177 Whisper, try Crosman Premier Hollow Points or Gamo Hunters.  I shoot dime sized groups with both at 15 meters.

Good Luck.

yea we have shot a bunch of the CPHP's through it have not tried the gamo hunters though... it seems to like the heavy crossman domed pellets the best but I worry that 10.5 grains might be a bit on the heavy side and wear out the spring fast....

I have some and they group pretty well but I only use them sparingly for that same reason. Although when u get that upgraded
just about everythings gonna be pretty accurate.
