Are Crosman, Gamo And Others Listening To Us??? Lets Hear Your Views..

For the most part I think Crosman has been listening to what we want but Gamo is going in a different direction.Gamo seem to follow the leader but they let marketing dictate manufacturing changes. For instance there new trigger....Crosman has really made changes to there line of new guns. And very inovative changes I must stay.

Whatdo you all think and do you have and ideas where Crosman is going next?

Repeating magazine type springer/gas ram rifle. 10 shot repeating cylinder just like the Marauder. That is what I would like.

CPH .22 -.25  Make them like .177 brown box CPH Die #2  Crosman would be #1 again in FT  World wide.
For Me, drop in LW barrels for MDR and Disco and Kat. They already use LW barrels on 2300S Pistols.
And the .177 Challenger (MDR Target model) So they already import them.......Franky

I had a multi-shot Gamo break-barrel repeater and it sucked big time.  For springers, I'll stick with single shot.  Crosman has been excellent in the customer service department.  Even their higher-ups are accessible.  At Gamo, you can't even get a customer service peon to return an email.

I'm pretty new to the airgun world, but I have both a Crosman and Gamo.... seems to me the Crosman is a better quality... (solid stock compared to the Gamo hollow "twangey" stock, metal barrels on the Crosman, and ect..... I REALLY DON'T KNOW IF ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER, but to me customer service is my number one concern. It seems to me that in my short time in the AG world, I don't think I've heard any negatives about Crosman customer service, but quite a few about Gamo....

Without being able to change the trigger I'll never buy another Gamo. Either put a better trigger in, or go back to the replaceable type trigger group.

STOP putting junk scopes on the guns that only last a few shots. Either use a better scope, or offer the gun without one so the customer can put that money toward a better scope. I feel like I helped subsidise Gamo's idiot brother-in-law scope company.!!!!!

Don't use a 1/4 inch stop hole in the reciever when all the scope mount's being made only have 1/8 stop pins and then expect that the mount won't move. Better yet, check out what Crosman is doing for scope mounting.

At least de-burr the inside of the reciever so the piston seal doesn't get chewed up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop swapping parts around and passing it off as a new gun. Your turning into the" Lego Blocks" of AG makers.

God bless you for using a scope mounting base that's actully part of the rifle !!!!! Someone's been listening to all the scope mounting complaints, because the welded-on weaver rails on the Benji Trail series are EXCELLENT.....  and long overdue. This is the scope mounting base that ALL springer airguns should have.  

You also must have heard about all the bent and broken coil springs, because you've come up with some darned good gas spring guns.  

Thanks for putting a better scope on a magnum gun. Unlike Gamo, you seem to have figured out that Airguns are actually more fun when you can see the target more than once or twice.

And another thanks for staying with a trigger group that while not great, at least it can be upgraded to be great by those who take their shooting seriously.

Please tell whoever is making the Trail series stocks that wood stain is not meant to look like brown paint.

Whoever installed the piston seal in my Trail should go back to their former job of busting up concrete .... or installing seals at  Gamo.  

Another thanks for figuring out that a hunting magnum AG should come with a well placed sling !!!!

I have 2 Gamos and love them to death but thats after a good amount of mods. Have almost $370 wrapped up in my Hunter and around $200 in the Big Cat. Will not be going to them until they get better triggers. And scope mount pins also need to be starndard. I tried to put the fat Gamo ones in the after market scope rings and it wont even screw in. I tried to take the scope rings off the scope that came with my big cat and the scope tube actually started to unsrew from the center peice with the windage and elevation knobs. I do like their 1 peice base. One came with my gamo hunter and I installed it on my daughters big cat. The scope and base are good for beginner shooters just looking at busting pop cans but not much after that. I agree with others that Gamo needs to sell just the rifle. I went straight after market scope and rings on my hunter. That could have saved me $30.

Definately agree on the deburring at the factory. Both my Hunter and Big Cat had gouges in the seals exactly where it slides along the channel. At least run a cylender hone through it. Zip it in and out would take 30 seconds during assemble.

Other than that I like mine. Really good bang for the buck. I am amazed with the Gamo Hunter's accuracy. Its my go to gun for about everything right now. Go back to the metal triggers and they will have me as a customer for life. I can deal with the scope issues.

As for crossman I only have their pumpers and have had them since I was about 16 and they still work so thats pretty good in my book. After reading all the stuff on here about their NP guns I think one of them may be in the future probably late summer.

Crosman I think, cares more about what true airgun enthusiast want and not just what the bigbox stores sell in volume. Honestly Gamo hasn't  had a break through in some time. The Whisper??? Maybe. I for one wasn't impressed. I have 5 new in box Whisper .177 sitting in the closet. I'm not sure if any of you has seen it yet. I was looking through a gun mag Saturday at the shop and saw that Gamo is coming out with a mulitshot pcp. Its just a rebadged BSA Scorpion in a synthetic stock. Crosman continues to create new guns and Gamo just continues to stay the course. JMO

Not sure what their future holds, - but I bought my last Gamo over a year ago. With their "new & improved" trigger there's NO chance I'll buy another. Crosman on the other hand is a totally different story, - more guns to come I'm sure.

It look's as though Crosman is making a effort to get more in touch with the customers need's and as for Gamo their loosing touch with customer need's. They put out a trigger that doesn't impress then come up with some fancy stock design or logo to attract the customer. Ed

Yep Jason that is a perfect example with Gamo.. It was said that Gamo was going to take over BSA's springer division. Which is actually owned by Gamo but they were produced in the UK. That in itselfraises quality workmanship questions.. Now as you have stated I have seen that Gamo is just re bagging BSA's Scorpion.. If they are now produced in Spain, I am not so sure they will be the quality as the ones produced in the UK.. This is really disappointing because I do own and shoot BSA springers and PCP's made in the UK and they are great guns.

Gamo marketing seems to rule the roost a Gamo Inc. No new innovations, and they just keep using the same guns with different names on them. And in reality they are just the same old guns with different shaped stocks but same power plants. Sad!

I've had very good experiences with Crosman. They really stood behind the NPSS, taking care of the peeling stock issue and some shredded o-rings right away, no muss, no fuss. They've been responsive on the phone, and quick to fulfill parts orders. And they're introducing new products that seem to better target our needs. Thumbs up all the way for Crosman, IMHO.

I'd like to see Crosman market a totally new Carbine sized PCP/CO2 repeater based on the Marauder but with a synthetic stock similar to the NPSS/Genesis. Shrouded (quiet)  barrel and a factory power adjuster that runs on their 88g AirSource bottles. In usual calibers Plus .25,  optional  .50cal Paintball barrel and 6mm Airsoft Barrel.

I'd also like to see the same concept in a PCP/CO2 Semi-Automatic repeater. Not just a double action revolver. Something more along the lines of the FX Semi-auto's. But with the ability to lock the bolt for a few extra FPS.

A Biathlon cocking Marauder would also be nice!
