Need to come clean to the GTA family here
« on: March 29, 2010, 04:05:21 PM »
Well I have been here a while now and finally decided to try the Target match yall have here on the bottom of the page. Well I  did the 10 M Match pistol and the 5 M pistol and the co2 pistol match and I shot pretty good I think. Well the LD i think if you can train a monkey to shoot  monkey can do well with that gun. Now since I got the LD the P1 has sat there and not been touched, Until saturday I tossed a can outback maybe 10-15 yards and outta 15 shots I hit the can 1 shot  :0
Well I had to go to work and While at work I had almost decided to Put the P1 upfor sale as its useless if i cant hit a can at 15 yards with it. Well come this morning Im browsing here and again the match pops up in front of me so I grab tha P1 and a target and started with 4-5 inch groups well after shooting the whole tin of 250 I had her back down and I was very impressed and decided she was not going any where, I just need to keep up shooting her here and there. so thats when I shot my targets to submit, minus the target with the LD that gun is rediculously accurate so i didnt practice with that. But i dont want yall thinkin I rolled outta bed and shot those Targets with a fresh cup of coffee because I wish it was that easy to do. Just gotta Keep shooting her as not to forget how to hold it.
heres the pics for yall to see if you dont follow on the Target shooting section.
later
Josh

At 10 meters I don't think I could hit the paper using a pistol.  :D

A tin can at 15 yards is pretty good pistol shooting.

How well you group depends on MANY variables; one-hand vs two-hand, unsupported vs supported, iron sights vs red dot vs scope, etc.
Even stuff like; what time of day, did you just have coffee, etc. has an effect.

Good shooting Josh. I have a P1 and a HW45 and can't hit anything with a one hand hold, but with a two hand hold they are almost as accurate as my izzy 46M. Just curious, are you using a one hand hold? Also I have seen your LD over on the TAG site, would love to have one! Take care Nick
