Randy.

"..........DANG, I stand WAY CORRECTED    I did not know that!.."  :D

I didn't either until I wondered why that pellet size choice is so common for Yote  calling and worked the numbers, then it dawned on me that's alot of damage potential !!!!

Dude, nice take! Makes me feel even better about that ol' SS1000 tucked away here somewhere.

The 'yotes have been down upon us lately and I have been thinking Dragon Slayer, but I'm sure it will wake the neighbors.

PS, I didn't forget about the scope you were interested in, just haven't had time to dig for it. I am pretty sure it's on the Panther and I should only be a few layers away, now... :-(

i have a B51 making 40+ fpe i am going to use turkey season but i always call a yote in and didnt know if this is enough for a head shot

part of the reason i want to trade the condor for a pcp pistol in big bore

Before you think I am getting a big head from the coyote, to day I missed at at least a dozen blackbirds. Most 20 yards to 35 yards and gusty to 25mph, but still... you would think I could do better than that. Not lying down or resting the rifle as much but shooting from outside the pickup going to a grain elevator near us. Tons of blackbirds coming in, getting ready for the sunflower fields to get planted.

Have had a chance at a few more coyotes this past week... passed on all of them. Not close enough for the power 'sweet spot' of either rifle I had at the time. While I can nail birds at 40 yards with the TF89 I am not going to chance a coyote at that distance. I don't like leaving wounded animals and the coyote is just too big and the rifle not powerful enough. With the Evanix Blizzard a 40 yard shot is doable if I hit them right, I know from experience. But, they have been further out when I have had the Blizzard at hand. A couple more skunks with each rifle and a lot of blackbirds with both. Maybe I will get lucky again and get a coyote in the sweet spot once again.

Great shooting. You have to be doing something right to take a yote with an air rifle.
2010 Air Rifle Kills
162 pigeons
280 starlings
49 various birds
100 ground squirrels
7 crows
24 rock chucks
1 pack rat
22 tree squirrels
1 rabbit

"doing something right"... Yep, let them get real close first. Then be a bit lucky and not hurry the shot.
I am getting plenty of practice on blackbirds while doing a service to our farming neighbors. I leave shooting the geese to them. They get permits for about 90 to clear them from the fields where the geese go after the planted crops & seeds. Some of the neighbors nail them with 30/06 shots and leave them lay trying to scare the others from landing there again. An /06 sure makes a mess of a goose.
