In looking at rifles the quality seems to be there. Power in both seems to be very good. I am looking at .177 to complement the Diana Model 48.
The BSA costs a lot less. Am I missing something here? Any real reason to get the HW over the BSA? The one I get will be a shooter, not a showpiece seldom taken out. Am also looking at a Marauder and then the Full Greg Davis treatment, including Lothar Walther barrel as well as the new twist steel barrel version of the FXT12 Whisper. Want accuracy and good power with accuracy #1 on the list.
I know Peak Chick likes BSA rifles. Is there anything that definately rules out one of these in the comparison? Anything that makes one a 'gotta-get' compared to the others? Will one give me many more shots on a fill compared to the others? Trigger that much better? Should I consider the Scorpion T10 bull barrel?(for its quiet shooting rather than the Super 10?)
Keep in mind I had a Walther Falcon Hunter in .22 Calibre and it was harsh, too big and just didn't feel right. Traded for a RWS 350 Magnum in .177 Calibre.. and some thought it would be too big. But, I really like that rifle. One sweet shooter and it fits me very well, open sights and no plans to scope it. I see the BSA is a bit shorter than the others and that is probably good for me at 5'5 1/2 inches. Shorter and nice handling would be nice if all else is fine.
So, any experience and what I should be looking at in this comparison for future purchase?
