So I was all excited to open my new toy. Ripped it open and find a nice shiny stock, no dings or obvious marks or scuffs. The trigger is a nice trade up from the very stiff falcon hunter trigger. The hooded front sight is a nice touch as well. A few loose screws and about 25 minutes cleaning the gunk out of the barrel and I am ready to start running a few pellets through it. Man the first shot was a doozie, the ears are still ringing. I was shooting in my basement and after about 15 pellets the room was full of smoke. So I keep shooting and cleaning, not really focusing on poi to much. Once I feel ready to start testing some groups I quickly notice the shots are 5 inches high with the iron sights dialed down as low as they will go, that was the case from both 10 meters and 15 meters.
I read a few other threads about droop and reverse droop, and people correcting with a vice or other means of bending the barrel. I am not sure I feel confident in that method. Does anyone have another method of correcting this issue? Something that I might be able to do rather then simply sending the gun back and waiting for them to fix it or replace it.
On another note I ran it through the chrony today and was pretty happy. cphp 898-907 fps (15 shoots), which untuned, not broken in makes me pretty happy. I am getting decent groups with the cphps too so just need to get these 5 inches under control.
