Nice tutorial Speedturtle. Converted to PDF to save in my gun stuff folder. I like your compressor. I think I will rip mine down and convert it to something like you have there.

Hey Speedturtle, mind telling me how long is that LDC on  your rifle? Thinking of getting one for my B26-2 from Rich.

It's 16 inches from the edge of the breech block to the end of the tube. HTH

I just took a measurement from the front of the breach block to the tip of the muzzle brake and it's 13 inches long. Do you have a non stock barrel on your B26-2?

Nope. It is still the stock barrel length of the B26. The way to measure the length of a barrel is from the tip of the muzzle to the face of the breech. HTH.

Looks like there are no plans to produce a Vortek for the smaller chambered B26. I emails Vortek and they replied with pretty much that info. Very disappointing.

I don't know what spring I need to order for the smaller tube B26, I think Mike said it was something like 25mm. I will check my emails and see if the info is in there. Once I find out I will get a spring and seal to match it as this gun is very accurate but the power is gone.

Thanks Turbo,

Hey Shady, since you created all those parts for your B26 would you know if yours was the 25MM model? If so then I will be able to buy that same spring and the apex small from JM and try to get my gun back up to power.

yes sir I do believe mine is a 25 mm the original seal is 25.28 mm but it has been out the gun for a week or more. the internal id measured of the gun was 24.95 mm...... I ordered at the same time a R tarantula spring that worked as well but it's OD measurement was just to big and would cause crunchy sounds when cocking it (spring expanding into the inner piston walls)but for power with that spring  was potent but recoil and sound was just violent to say the least. the e9870 was a awesome fit and was easy to install with great clearances in all area's as well it is longer than the stock spring and has more preload but is easily cocked and surprisingly powerful if I were doing another b26 that would be the spring I would use and as far as the apex seal I did not use a micrometer to determine it's fit I went by feel not to tight but not to easy to move by hand it took one brush with sand paper on the lathe and that was it.

Shady,

Thanks for the info and help so the e9870 and the Apex Small seal would be a good choice for purchase if I want to retune this B26-2? I can use Soda bottle plastic for buttons if I remember right, but what adhesive would be best?
