Hay Sam,

They have a nuclear reactor in your area ??? :)

That I the largest squirrel that I have ever heard if ! ! ! Might even beat out Gene's "MONSTER" , Gene has to get his so we can compare these over sized tree rats.

What's this world coming to, hunting squirrels with a 30-06 Springfield. :) What if rats got that big.

I didn't snap that pic, but there probably IS a reactor near where that guy lives! Looking at the tape, it's 2 feet stem to stern and he said it weighed in at close to 2 pounds!

Out here in California, there are some really BIG ones too. There's really no squirrel hunters around where I live. But there's ALLOT of people that feed em! I've been looking out for this one particular squack that I saw a couple months ago. He was jumping from limb to limb and bending the tree branches pretty good as he landed.

I killed one about that size last fall with a .22 powder burner on Piedmont National Refuge in middle Georgia .Had the same coloration . I've seen black ones in the same area while archery hunting for deer.  Stalked him from way over a hundred yards . I got to within 30 yards of the huge pine tree he   was in the top of; eating pine cones. That tree was over 100 feet tall. They have some pines there that two people would have trouble reaching around.  Head shot him with a subsonic in  my CZ . This next season I'll be going back to get his brother with my air gun . kirby

I have a couple of scouts that I restocked in a walnut Boyd's JRS stock . Makes a neat little carbine. kirby

That's almost exactly what I would do if they ever dropped the price on the one I've been watching. I'd go with a Boyd's left handed Ross Thumbhole though.
But I know if I got that rifle, the wife would KILL me. She's already peering into my gun cabinet one in a while and shakes her head.  Every time I see her do that I say:

"Hey, you've got your Jewelry...And I've got mine :D"
