"The ruling also is likely to shift the debate to whether Congress will choose to explicitly grant the FCC the authority to regulate companies' network management practices, and revive lobbying coalitions that have been defunct for the last few years."

Score one for free enterprise...

"In a statement, the FCC said it remains "firmly committed to promoting an open Internet and to policies that will bring the enormous benefits of broadband to all Americans" and "will rest these policies ... on a solid legal foundation."

Maybe they should focus on getting "the enormous benefits of broadband" to the rest of us, before deciding how the carriers are allowed to run their businesses. If they would open some spectrum for rural broadband they would be doing more for the tax-payers. They don't need Congress or the courts to take that step.

The left can't help themselves, really - it's an obsession/addiction of some kind. IF something simply exists - it needs to be taxed & regulated, regardless of what it is or does. Whether it's beneficial (as is) or not isn't the problem, - that has nothing to do with it. This driving obsession to "control & tax" is beyond their ability to handle.l
