RWS 48
« on: April 06, 2010, 01:59:44 PM »
Would like to know what kind of FPS numbers and 20 yard accuracy I could expect from an out of the box RWS 48 with a 4x16x40 AO scope?

I had a .22 rws48 and its not the same cal but same brand .I had mine for 9 months and the trigger and accuracy out the box was great ,its a magnum rated airrifle so u brake it in first before u notice its true strenght .This airrifle is a side lever and many say that a side lever is more accursate then the brake barrel cause of its fixed barrel it has ,it might be so or not but its the hold that u have to aquire in order to hit your target .u need no tune up and the trigger is good enough for your useage there is no aftermarket trigger for the rws airrifle they r one of the better triggers i have used besides charlies and my 1969 ben franklins trigger .well anyway u made a great choice and yes its very accurate and powerful so rather its a .177 or .22 if it for target it alright even small game hunting its good its on the heavy side but with a sling u will be alright .read stuff from the library if u would like to learn about airrifles many of us here look at that section when we need help ...nice having u with us larry ....jorge

I have a 48 in .177 cal. and it does about 860 fps. with 10.5 gr crosman pellets. Will take out beer bottle caps at 30 yards if I do my part.
Mine does not like the lighter pellets.
